When Blackstone created a dedicated new space  for its technology team, Blackstone Innovations  & Infrastructure (BXii), the goal was to create a  flexible office that held true to its creative culture  and collaborative work style.

We conducted discussions and research into this  team’s fluid working style, leading to a design that  supported their agile workflow, created a positive  culture, and helped attract and retain the

best talent.

We designed multifunctional spaces that can  change and adapt depending on the type of  use. Functionality was key to Blackstone, so the  design focused on efficiency of use to ensure all

design elements were intentional and purposeful.

The design expresses an ethos of transparency  and collaboration, organised around a series

of neighbourhood spaces. The workspace  includes open, collaborative areas and meeting  rooms which encourage staff cross-pollination.  To distinguish the space from Blackstone’s  corporate aesthetic, the Innovations office uses a  warm palette with raw and authentic touchpoints  strategically placed throughout.
